Given the remoteness of the island, KBRT has a full-time engineer that lives out there with the transmitter. The main peril to operations there has been wild pigs rooting up the ground system.|

Mike Duffy and I, as Radio Services Group, service the Costa Mesa studios. Mike has been involved with KBRT for many years, as he had a similar partnership to RSG with David Rea called Spectrum Analysis. David passed away in December of 2000, unexpectedly of heart failure. We all were shocked and miss our good friend.
